Practical guide
Build a field report a client can review
SiteStory works best when a report follows the visit record from identity to evidence. Enter the job details first, then write a factual summary that matches the photo sequence.
Start with the visit identity
Enter job title, client, technician, date, location, and status before adding evidence. Keep the summary factual and add a next action when the status needs follow-up.
The default Kitchen sink repair scenario records a 2026-09-30 visit and says the worn supply line was replaced and checked for leaks.
Sequence the story
Add images in a useful order: wide context first, then the condition or measurement, then the completed work. Captions should say what the image shows so a reader does not have to infer the point.
- Use a context image first.
- Caption defects, measurements, or completed work.
- Review images for sensitive information before sharing.
Keep the report local
Images are held in memory in the current browser tab. Review the preview and print result, then retain the source record through the process your team already uses.
Check your own scenario
Replace the illustrative inputs with measured values and dated specifications.
